ABOUT THE ANIMAL

Ok welcome to my about me section! Like I said on the landing page, Im a coyote that goes by many different names. I mostly go by Jhonen [joe-nen] or Xalli [shawl-lee]. When refering to me, please use zie/hir pronouns, but you're more than welcome to refer to me as it/creature/thing/animal, anything along those lines! Neutral and Masculine terms are preffered, but some Feminine ones are ok!

I explore my queerness in many different ways, but for short, I am Twospirit, Indigiqueer, and Genderqueer! My identity as an NDN + Indig Mex plays a very big role in my queer identity. My attraction is best described as being a Futch Lesboy. Neurodivergent, specifically ASD and AVPD. Intersectional + Transfeminist.

I first discovered the concept of therianthropy through phantom limb sensations, and furries LOL. I had a friend who I met wayyyy back in elementary and we used to go to a club/program called Boys and Girls Club. During the time we were there, we would roleplay as animals. Something about the simple act of 2 children "pretending" to be animals ""awoken"" something in me. I use the term ""awaken"" loosely, as I've always never felt human. In my very first year of school, my 1st grade teacher asked all of us what we wanted to be when we grew up. I wrote on my little paper saying I wanted to be an animal. Unfortunately, some students thought this was odd/weird, and made me change it to "animal sitter" (like a pet sitter).

Eventually, I forgot about this completely and moved on in life, but that strange phantom sensation still stayed with me. In Jr High, on christmas break and my aunts house, I found myself watching a video about furries and how "weird" they were. I became FASCINATED with furries, so much so I made my own fursona (whom I love so dearly)! This eventually led me down a rabbit hole, learning about other/fictokins, theranthropy, otherhearted, and even kemonomini!

Unfortunately, I am not in a place to safely express myself in a way that makes me happy. Im hoping in the future when I eventually move out & go to uni/college, im able to find more therian, alternative, queer, and indigenous folk!

I love a lot of different things! I have an interest in forensic science, crime scene investigation, pathology/virology/microbiology, taxonomy/vulture culture, goth music/culture, zoology, botony, true crime (not apart of the TCC), music, art + drawing, essay/commentary videos, lost/found media, urban exploration, the wilderness, and more stuff unlisted! I plan on going into forensic science when I go to college, I might major in something like laboratory science or CSI.

My favorite medias are Arcane, The Good Place, Rez Dogs, Nature Docs. I dont watch a whole lot of TV, as I prefer long form content on sites like YouTube!
